Restauranteur Raphaelle Gallo was looking to create an identity for his restaurant. An Italian immigrant, the concept behind the restaurant was classic Italian technique through-and-through. During our first tour of the new restaurant space, his head chef told us that his food philosophy was simple, “Eat Well, Live Long”. The phrase stuck with us and was ultimately the inspiration for the entire brand. The Gallo logo was inspired by a farmhouse style stamp. We developed a logo that was easily transferred into stamp form so that the chefs could put a literal stamp of approval on whatever they please. The chicken (or “gallo”) was hand-illustrated by a local Boston artist and the type was developed specially for Gallo.
We created a full brand for Gallo including: logo, business cards and stationary, a print ad campaign, menus, in-house materials, website and coordinating social media platforms. We also produced some fun extras such as stickers, pizza boxes and stamps for this project
